Gas
Every gas site in EVE Online
All 72 gas sites in one table: how much gas each holds, what it is worth in Jita, what guards it, and how long your ship takes to empty it. Pick your ship below and the table works it out. Want one gas in detail? Use the gas calculator.
| Site | Where | Gas in the site | Worth (sell now) | Time to empty | Guarded by |

What each gas is for A ESI-derived / official
Gas is a raw material for reactions. Nobody uses it as it comes out of the cloud, so its price follows demand for what it makes. Every reaction below comes from EVE's official data (build of 2026-09-04).

Getting started A ESI-derived / official
Ships, holds and module stats below are EVE's official data. The calculator works out exact yields for your skill level.
| Ship | Type | Hold | Harvests with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Endurance | Mining frigates | 19,000 m³ | Up to 1 Gas Cloud Scoop (one per skill level) |
| Prospect | Mining frigates | 12,500 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level)+100% gas yield |
| Venture | Mining frigates | 5,000 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level)+100% gas yield |
| Venture Consortium Issue | Mining frigates | 6,250 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level)+100% gas yield |
| Pioneer | Mining destroyers | 8,000 m³ | Up to 3 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level) |
| Pioneer Consortium Issue | Mining destroyers | 10,000 m³ | Up to 3 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level) |
| Covetor | Mining barges | 9,000 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Harvesters |
| Procurer | Mining barges | 16,000 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Harvesters |
| Retriever | Mining barges | 27,500 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Harvesters |
| Hulk | Exhumers | 11,500 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Harvesters |

| Skiff | Exhumers | 18,500 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Harvesters |
| Odysseus | Expedition command ship | 750 m³ | Up to 5 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level) |
| Hoarder | Gas haulers | 30,000 m³ | Up to 2 Gas Cloud Scoops (one per skill level) |
| Primae | Gas haulers | 10,000 m³ | Cannot harvest gas; carries it |
| Orca | Industrial command and capital | 150,000 m³ | Cannot harvest gas; carries it |
| Porpoise | Industrial command and capital | 50,000 m³ | Cannot harvest gas; carries it |
| Rorqual | Industrial command and capital | 300,000 m³ | Cannot harvest gas; carries it |
- Modules. Gas Cloud Scoop I: 10 m³ every 30 s; Gas Cloud Scoop II: 20 m³ every 40 s; Gas Cloud Harvester I: 50 m³ every 100 s; Gas Cloud Harvester II: 100 m³ every 80 s. Scoops fit ships with turret hardpoints (the mining frigates, the Pioneer, the Hoarder and the Odysseus); harvesters fit mining barges and exhumers only.
- Skills. Gas Cloud Harvesting allows one scoop per skill level, up to the ship's turret hardpoints, and the Tech 2 modules need it at level 5.
- Selling. "Sell now" in the table is the Jita buy price: instant, but lower. Listing a sell order earns more if you can wait. Gas is bulky, so check the hold loads column before you commit.
Staying alive
- Wormhole reservoirs are guarded by Sleepers, on a timer. The site is empty when you arrive, and the Sleepers spawn about 15 to 20 minutes after the first pilot warps in B Community-corroborated . It is one clock for the whole site, so if Sleepers are already there when you land, someone else started it. Plan to be gone before the timer runs out: once they spawn they stay until they are killed. The "Guarded by" column shows how many there are and how much damage they deal.
- Ordinary Perimeter Reservoir is no longer special. It used to be guarded by sentry towers that fired straight away. Since the 18 March 2026 patch it has the same delayed Sleepers as the others A ESI-derived / official . Older guides may still say otherwise.
- Some Cytoserocin clouds hurt. 36 of the Cytoserocin sites have clouds that damage ships inside them, shown in the "Guarded by" column with the damage type C Single-source / unverified . Tick Hide sites with damaging clouds above the table to leave them out.
- Gas sites are everyone's. Mining frigates are fragile and gas sites are easy to find. Keep directional scan running, align out when something appears, and do not park a full hold in space.
Where the numbers come from
- Wormhole reservoirs: gas amounts, Sleeper defenders and blue loot from the maintained wormhole site guide, which regenerates from EVE's official data A ESI-derived / official . Which classes each spawns in: the Atlas site records C Single-source / unverified .
- Mykoserocin and Cytoserocin nebulae: locations, amounts, cloud damage and NPCs from the EVE University wiki C Single-source / unverified .
- Prices, gas volumes and ship yields: EVE's official data, Jita prices as at 2026-09-24 A ESI-derived / official . "Sell now" uses the Jita buy price.
- Time to empty assumes every pilot runs the same ship and fit, back to back, with no travel, and ignores hold size except to count hold loads. It is the floor, not the average.
Sleeper timing: EVE University wiki, Wiki Circa Kismeteer's Guide, the All-Out wormhole gas guide and the EVE forums, all agreeing on 15 to 20 minutes. Whether the timer survives downtime, and whether a site vanishes once it is emptied, are not confirmed by any source, so this page does not claim either.
